What is the BnB property application for?

It lets us review protection for the building and, if selected, the contents of a short-term rental home. The details support an individual quotation; they do not automatically confirm cover.

Why must I declare that the home is a short-term rental?

Hosting paying guests is a different use from a main or holiday home. We assess the property's actual use rather than assuming that an ordinary home insurance policy is sufficient.

What additional details are needed for a BnB apartment?

We ask for the number of building floors, the apartment's floor and the uses of the basement, ground floor and upper floors. You also provide the property's construction, roof and floor area.

Where do I declare a pool, storage area or other structures?

Declare them in the property details and complete any additional fields that appear. You do not need to value every structure yourself; the assessment and sums insured are clarified with us.

Is earthquake cover automatically included in the BnB request?

No. Select the relevant option with earthquake cover to record your interest. This is an additional option assessed against the property details and quotation terms.
